Africa Check is a non-profit organisation which promotes accuracy in public debate. They test claims made by public figures around the African continent using journalistic skills and evidence drawn from the latest online tools, readers, public sources and experts, sorting out fact from fiction.
Long White Digital is a digital agency founded by Tim Reader which works primarily with charities, non-profit, art, education or generally sound and ethical organisations. When Tim asked me to work with them on their Africa Check account I was delighted to get involved.
First I was asked to create a clean and simple visual identity for Africa Check that would reflect its values of trustworthiness, empowerment, and neutrality whilst having a distinctly African aesthetic. Once we had established the Africa Check brand I was then asked to design the front end for their website which developed through several key phases.
